Welded Art Photographic & Sculpture Exhibition Vashi, New Mumbai

Welded Art Photographic & Sculpture Exhibition

Introduction:

As part of a strategy in the IIW National Welding Capability project to improve the image of welding, an initiative was launched at the 72nd IIW Annual Assembly and International Conference in Bratislava to show the contribution that welded art makes to society in general. And a photographic exhibition of Welded Art was held during the Assembly in July 2019.

To be a part of this initiative, The Indian Institute of Welding (IIW‐India) decided to organise a similar type of exhibition to encourage the persons involved in welded art. Welded art provides a number of benefits to people. As a hobby it helps improve mental health and well‐being, it is a wonderful tool to improve the image of welding and in some cases provides an income for people with the appropriate artistic skills. (Referenced from the report by Mr. Chris Smallbone, Past President, IIW) Industries / Institutes / Individuals are invited to take part in the exhibition to showcase their inventions and start a new era in Welded Art in India.
