Electromagnetic - Eddy Current testing Level II training & certification courses starts on 04th October 2013 at Trinity NDT, India

Trinity NDT Eddy Current Inspection/testing Facility and Equipment
Eddy Current training Schedule at Trinity NDT Bangalore India
NDT allows parts and materials to be inspected and measured without damaging them. Because it allows inspection without interfering with a product's final use, NDT provides an excellent balance between quality control and cost-effectiveness.

Introduction to Eddy Current testing

Eddycurrent inspection is one of several NDT methods that use the principal of “electromagnetism” as the basis for conducting examinations. Eddy currents are created through a process called electromagnetic induction. When alternating current is applied to the conductor, such as copper wire, a magnetic field develops in and around the conductor. If another electrical conductor is brought into the close proximity to this changing magnetic field, current will be induced in this second conductor

Eddy Current testing Applications
·            Crack detection
·            Material thickness  measurements
·            Coating thickness measurements
·            Conductivity measurements

Training course objectives
1.      Describe the basic principles of the eddy current test method
2.      List several applications of the eddy current test method
3.      List the types of discontinuities detected with the eddy current test method
4.      Describe the cause and effect of various types of discontinuities
5.      Describe the operational steps in the eddy current test and understand the importance of each step following a written procedure
6.      Interpret and evaluate the test results with respect to the applicable standards
7.      Complete the required test reports, and prepare a clear and concise written instruction (Procedure)
