Workshop on “Heat Treatment of Welded Structures” at Chennai by The Indian Instituteof Welding (IIW–India), Chennai

The Indian Instituteof Welding (IIW–India), Chennai is organising a one day Workshop on “Heat Treatment of WeldedStructures”. The workshop will cover topics on Heat treatment before and after welding, Stress relief, Metallurgical effects of PWHT, Modes, reasons of failures etc. The workshop will also include a presentation and demo by M/s ITW Weld, on Induction heating system.

The Workshop is being conducted at Chennai on 20th January 2017 at Hotel Radha Regent, Chennai from 09:00 hrs to 15:30 hrs, as a part of the IIW India – AWS Lecture Series. The speaker is Mr. Christopher Bloch. He is an advisor to AWSD10 committee for welding of tube and piping. He is member of the ASME peer review group for welding of ferritic creep resistant steels and has been awarded eight US patents.

09:00 hrs to 13:00 hrs – AWS Lecture by Mr. Christopher Bloch.

13:00 hrs to 14:00 hrs – Lunch
14:00 hrs to 15:30 hrs – Lecture and Demo by M/s ITW Weld, on Induction heating system
