THEME OF NWM 2017

Advances in Welding Technology

Most international Manufacturing standards considers  welding as a special and critical-to-quality process. Welding is an absolute essential process of any manufacturing activity ranging from pin to plane. The National Welding Meet-NWM2017 is being organized to focus on recent developments in welding, to discuss on opportunities for welding professionals and welders to improve their skill sets. NWM2017 is aimed at creating a common platform on which Industries & Professional alike come together to exchange ideas and knowledge for mutual benefits. It also provides an exciting opportunity for the educational and professional institutes to meet the industry. The meet will also provide for the industry to get upto date on the research and developments on Welding and related technology.

Skill Development for Make in India

India will have the largest young work force by 2020 in the world. This is coinciding with the eminent huge demand for skilled workforce in the welding sector. To capitalize this opportunity in India large number of companies are establishing their global manufacturing bases in India.

This will lead to rapid industrialization; with it will come the large gap in the demand-supply of skilled workforce in this vital sector. NWM2017 seeks to address this key issue and its associated challenges in the welding skill improvement.
